Thank you

Hello, my name is Rivka.
I was in the same plouga and gdoud as Rebecca.
I wanted to speak to you at the hazkara last year, but I am shy by nature, and it took me a lot of time to send you this message.
I simply wanted to tell you how much Rebecca impacted me and my friends.
We were in the same plouga. I was lucky enough to go on several missions with her. She taught me how to build our camouflage in the field, and she also showed me that you could put Coca-Cola in the poike (potjiekos).
It was the first time I had seen an officer who was both so professional and so humane at the same time. Her knowledge, her positivity, and her unique sense of humor immediately won us over! I spoke about it with another friend from the tzevet, and we wondered how it was possible that someone who was not even our own mefakedet, and who later moved to another gdoud, could have affected us so deeply.
After thinking about it for a while, I came to the conclusion that there are rare people in this world who can be part of your life, even for a short time, and still leave a lasting mark, forever engraved in your heart. Rebecca was undoubtedly one of those people.
I am so grateful to have met such a special person in my life, and I therefore wanted to thank you as well.
Thank you for making her who she was. Thank you for supporting her until she came to us. Thanks to you, I met an extraordinary person I will never forget.
